Moving Traditions will be piloting a regional version of our national Kumi program, thanks to a generous grant from The Jewish Federation of Greater Washington DC. Kumi is a unique opportunity for Jewish teens to interrupt racism, antisemitism, and other manifestations of oppression.
Through the Kumi experience, teens are challenged to explore their connection to their own Jewish identity and build skills to turn their values into action. For our regional pilot, we’ll be focusing specifically on antisemitism, its connection to other forms of oppression, and the skills we need to confront it.
